Contest Track of the Week

Introduction
1. By registering and participating in the 2025 Easter Cup Tipping Contest participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligible Participants can create one (1) user registration. There are no fees, charges, or purchases required to play.

 

Term

  1. The Easter Cup Tipping Contest, will be held on the Easter Cup meeting being run at Launceston on Saturday April 19, 2025.

Who is Eligible to Participate

  1. Participation in the ‘Tipping Contest’ is open to all Australian residents. However, management and employees of Harness Racing Australia, Committee members, employees and contractors of any of its states and race clubs, contractors of HRA or a Participant * who can determine or affect the outcome of a race are ineligible to win any prizes.

    How to Participate
    5. To participate, the individual Eligible Participants must themselves, complete the online registration process for the Game, located at www.harnessracingcontest.com
  2. Choose a horse in each race “Tip” in race 3, race 4, race 5, race 6 and race 7 programmed to be run at Launceston on Saturday 19 April 2025.
  3. Only one Registration per Eligible Participant (and per email address supplied) will be accepted.
    Scoring of Points
  4. Points will be awarded based on the LADBROKES starting Prices.
    1. 1 times the ‘Ladbrokes’ Win Starting price for each “Tip” that finishes First.
      1. For Example – If the chosen horses ‘Ladbrokes’ starting price is $2.00 then the competitor will receive (1 x 2) 2 points.
    2. 1 times the ‘Ladbrokes’ Place Starting price for each “Tip” that finishes in a ‘place’ per the place dividend being paid.
      1. For example; if the field is off 7 horses or less and Ladbrokes only pays a place to the horses that finish first and second, the competition will reflect that change.
    3. The scoreboard will be updated following the completion of each race.

 

Competition Winner and Prizes

  1. The competitor that scores the highest number of points (“1st Place”) will be declared the winner.
  2. The prizes will be paid as a $250 Visa Gift Card and awarded on the following basis,

  1. In the event of a tie between two (2) or more Eligible Participants for a position on the scoreboard, the prizes will be split between the participants.
  2. All payments of prizemoney will be paid to the nominated account.

General

  1. The Promoter is Harness Racing Australia ABN 19 877 460 923 of L1, 400 Epsom Road, Flemington, VIC, 3031.
    17. By participating in the Easter Cup Tipping Contest, Eligible Participants agree to being contacted (including via email) by the Promoter from time to time. Eligible Participants also agree to information about them and their participation in the Game being displayed on the Website, and to their participation being tracked via the use of cookies.

  2. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any Registrations not received for any reason. Registrations will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected Registrations. The Promoter is not responsible for technical difficulties with the online Registration process and does not warrant that the online Registration will be available at all times.

  3. If for any reason this ‘ Tipping Contest’ is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available, subject to compliance with any laws.

  4. Any participant who, in the opinion of the Promoter, tampers or interferes with the entry mechanism in any way, or who does not properly comply with the entry process (including submitting incomplete Registrations), will be ineligible to participate.

  5. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify participants in the event of non-compliance with these Rules.

  6. In the event there is a dispute concerning the conduct of the Tipping Contest, the decision of the Promoter is final and binding on each person who participates and no correspondence will be entered into.

  7. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with this Tipping Contest.

  8. Information about Eligible Participants is used by the Promoter and Harness Racing Australia to assess and process registrations for the Tipping Contest. If a person wishing to participate in the Tipping Contest does not provide the required information (see clause 4 above), the Promoter cannot process the registration and the person will not be entered into the Tipping Contest. All registrations and information contained in them become the property of the Promoter and will be entered into a daLadbrokesase. Information emanating from the Eligible Participant's participation in the Tipping Contest is used by the Promoter and its agencies associated with it for the determination of the scoreboard. Eligible Participants consent to the publishing of their personal information and score on the Website by the Promoter. The Promoter will not be held responsible for, and expressly excludes, any loss of reputation, status or otherwise in connection with an Eligible Participant's score.

  9. By participating in the Game, the Eligible Participant understands and agrees that the Promoter may use and disclose the information provided by the participant to the Promoter, on the terms and for the purposes (including marketing) set out in the Promoter's Privacy Statement available at HERE, as if they were a customer of the Promoter. The Eligible Participant agrees that the Promoter can continue to contact them even after this Promotion ends. If the participant would like to access or correct the personal information that the Promoter holds about the participant, or if the participant does not wish the information to be disclosed, the participant should advise the Promoter by contacting them via this link http://legacy.harness.org.au/contact-us.cfm

  10. By participating in the Game, the Eligible Participant agrees and acknowledges that:
  11. they may be contacted by the Promoter to provide comments about the Tipping Contest and the Promoter (or an agent of the Promoter) may take photos of them;
    b) the Promoter may use such comments or photos (the "Materials") for the Promoter's future promotional and marketing purposes without further reference or compensation to them;
    c) the Promoter may duplicate, alter, adapt and utilise the Materials as the Promoter wishes at any time, anywhere, and by any means. The Promoter may license, authorise or otherwise transfer the rights in the Materials to others to do the same;
    d) they acknowledges that the Promoter retains all right, title and interest, including copyright, in the Materials and, by participating in the Tipping Contest, they assign to the Promoter on creation of the Materials all right, title and interest which might, but for these terms and conditions, vest in them;
    e) they unconditionally and irrevocably consents to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe any of their moral rights in the Materials (as defined in Part IX of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth)) and present and future rights of a similar nature conferred by statute anywhere in the world whether occurring before or after this consent is given ("Moral Rights");
    f) they waive all Moral Rights in the Materials that arise outside Australia; and
    g) they agree not to institute, maintain or support any claim or proceeding for infringement of their Moral Rights in the Materials.


If any participant attempts to deliberately damage the website or the information on the website, or to otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of the game, the promoter reserves the right to take legal action permitted by law.
